Pleasant Storm Entertainment, Inc. was incorporated in 2004 in New York.  It was started by Terry M. West and two partners. Originally established as a film production and distribution company, the purpose of the company was to develop independent films of all genres. Pleasant Storm also co-produced a couple of horror films, and optioned short films and screenplays. Around 2005, the company began distributing films through multiple labels and sold regularly to online retailers, brick and mortar retailers and on Amazon and eBay. The company was very successful in this avenue. It also took on freelance marketing gigs for independent films and consulted in the development of independent film. Additionally, Pleasant Storm produced second unit gigs for a couple of films.

 

 

Around 2011, the focus of the company shifted and began to re-brand as a literary publisher.  Terry M. West became the first author for the company’s new direction.

 

 

So here we are now. We are opening the gates to other authors with Journals of Horror and we hope to become a serious avenue for horror authors everywhere.
